Ben Schwartz

Ben Schwartz is an experienced global government affairs executive and author with expertise in a range of national security, technology, and trade matters. At the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, he served as the Executive Director of the Defense and Aerospace Export Council and the Head of the U.S.-India Business Council’s Defense program where he successful led campaigns to expand public private partnerships and facilitate trade. During his government service, Schwartz held policy, regulatory, and intelligence positions at the U.S. Department of Defense, Department of Energy, Department of State and in the Intelligence Community. These positions involved oversight of technology release to foreign partners, sensitive special & counterterrorism operations, foreign military sales, and various national security & intelligence activities. Schwartz is the author of Right of Boom: The Aftermath of Nuclear Terrorism and his writing is featured in outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, The American Interest, and various foreign press. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Swarthmore College and a Master of Arts in International Relations and International Economics from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
