Tim Pavlick is the chief innovation officer of Attain, LLC. As such he leads experimental, pilot & production activities for disruptive technologies, e.g, AI, Graph DB, Emotional computing, etc. His group’s mission is to reinvent work. To achieve their mission they explore cutting edge tech, business and design practices to create a more human friendly work experience.
Prior to joining Attain, Dr. Pavlick held several leadership roles at IBM, including CTO for the company’s Public Sector consulting unit & DoD Chief Architect for Federal. During his IBM tenure, Dr. Pavlick focused on identifying, understanding, and harnessing emerging trends, including blockchain, big data, cyber security, emotional computing, design thinking, Internet of Things, and Cognitive computing.
Previously, Dr. Pavlick served as managing director at BearingPoint, Inc. (formerly KPMG Consulting). In this capacity, Dr. Pavlick was engaged in building, designing, and assuring internet scale systems, such as the Department of Defense Catalog Data Warehouse and Defense Automatic Addressing System Center (DAASC). These systems involved massive data ingest, data filtering, and analysis.
Dr. Pavlick earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Summa Cum Laude, from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh. While at Plattsburgh he won the Ed Redcay award for outstanding student in the Behavioral Sciences. He earned an MS & PhD in Cognitive Psychology with a specialization in data analytics from the University of Maryland College Park. In addition he won the ‘Jack Bartlett Dissertation of the Year’ award upon graduation. He holds a patent in real time software middleware architecture.
